Structural-Glazing Silicone Sealant (SG989+)
Main purposes:
- Structural glazing in high risk glass curtain wall;
- Can joint the surface of glass and metal to form a single assembly, suitable for curtain wall of SSG system design;
- For the situation of high requirement to adhesive safety and other purpose;
- Many other purposes. ?applied to structural bonding and sealing of glass, stone (marble, granite), aluminum curtain wall, glass lighting roof and metal structure engineering, bonding and sealing of large plates of glass, secondary bonding and sealing of insulating glass.)
Characteristics:
- J1 Neutral Structural Silicone Sealant is RTV-1, neutral curing at room temperature, high modulus and high intensity silicone structural sealant;
- Excellent resistance to weather, and the service life is over 20 years in the condition of general weather;
- Excellent adhesion to most common building material (not including copper)without priming in general condition;
- Good compatibility with other neutral silicone sealants.
Application:
- Please follow JGJ102-2003”Technical Code for Glass Curtain Wall Engineering” in strict;
- The silicone sealant will release volatile compound during curing, it may be bad to heath if you in breathe the volatile compound for a long time .So please ensure adequate ventilation at workplace or curing area;
- The silicone sealant will not release any harmful substance and cause any damage to human body after cured;
- Keep uncured silicone sealant beyond children’s reach. If getting into eyes, wash with running water for several minutes, and then consult a doctor.
Limitations:
- Unsuitable for all kinds of material that can effuse grease, plasticizer or solvent;
- Unsuitable for the airproof location, because it is required to absorb moisture in air to cure for the silicone sealant;
- Unsuitable for the frosty or moist surface;
- Can not be used if the temperature is below 40C or above 400C on the surface of the materials;
- Can not be used if the surface is unclean or unfirm;
Shelf life: 12 months if keep sealing, and stored below 270C in cool, dry place after the date of production.
